The professional and peer consultants assist individuals at all stages of the writing process, from brainstorming to making final revisions and everything in between. In addition, the Writing Pad offers help with virtually any type of writing, including research papers, lab reports, creative writing, scholarship essays, articles, resumes, cover letters, and more. We thank you for your interest and look forward to working with you!

How do I schedule an appointment?

To make an appointment, walk-in or call (920) 832-2867 during our scheduled hours of availability. Appointments can be scheduled for 30 or 60 minute sessions, and there is a limit of one session per day. If you are unable to make it, please notify the Writing Pad as soon as possible in order to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

We do accept walk-ins! Please keep in mind, however, that the only way to assure a consultant will be available to assist you is to set up an appointment in advance.

Help Us Help You!

Please bring the following to a session:

  • Two copies of your draft
  • Assignment directions
  • Any questions or concerns

We encourage writers to come early on in the writing process. Planning ahead allows you the time to effectively apply the feedback received during a session. It also gives you the option of returning for further assistance prior to a due date. In fact, many writers will find it most beneficial to come in at several different points in order to get feedback and support along the way.

For additional information, feel free to contact Paul Nicolaus, Writing Center Director.
