Barlow ImageScout Programs


Since 1999, the Barlow Planetarium has offered programs especially for Scouts.  Brownie Girl Scouts can earn Try-Its, Junior Girl Scouts can earn Badges, Cub Scout Webelos can earn an Astronomy Beltloop/Scientist Badge and Bears complete electives. Unless otherwise noted, please call the Planetarium office at 920-832-2852 to register for these programs.

Tiger Cubs & Wolves

9am-11am Wisconsin Skies: Tiger Cub and Wolves. Watch as the starry nighttime sky comes alive in the Barlow Planetarium. Learn how to find your way around the winter sky while reading the provided star chart.  Call The Barlow Planetarium @ 920-832-2852 to register for this program.  $5/scout.

 

Bears

December 5th, 2009

9am-11am "Space" Elective clinic. Recieve an introduction to space under the perfect starry sky of the Barlow Planetarium. Find constellations, learn about past, present and future space missions, and learn how to find planets in the sky while completing the requirements for the Elective 1.  Call The Barlow Planetarium @ 920-832-2852 to register for this program.  $5/scout.

 

Webelos

1PM-3PM Engineering Badge.
Engineers touch every portion of the your life.  Mechanical engineers design your bike, structural engineers analyze  your house, and civil engineers build safe bridges.  Learn about engineering as you earn your Engineering Badge.
