These certificate programs are available whether or not you are pursuing an Associate of Arts and Science Degree. However, some students use a certificate program to give cohesion to their electives within the Associate of Arts and Science Degree.

Business Certificate

The Business Certificate offered by UW-Fox Valley provides students the opportunity to explore a variety of courses in the area of business. The certificate curriculum offers an understanding of basic business and economic principles, and accounting functions. Additionally, students will become informed about recent developments in the financial marketplace, build technical skill, including the use of spreadsheets and software packages, and build a better sense of direction for a future career.

How long will it take to complete the certificate?
  • A minimum of 26 credits is required to earn the Business Certificate. Depending on the student's course load, they can expect to complete this program in as little as one year.

Environmental Studies Certificate

The Environmental Studies Certificate provides an interdisciplinary approach to the study of environmental issues, encompassing aspects of biological and physical science, natural resources, and environmental ethics and economics.

  • Individuals wishing to complete this program must successfully complete the required 17 credits with a minimum (2.0) grade point average.
  • A maximum of three credits may be transferred into the certificate program from institutions outside of the UW Colleges.

International Studies Certificate

The professional certificate in International Studies offers:
  • Acquired expertise in global studies with an emphasis on the 20th and 21st centuries
  • A broadened perspective and increased appreciation and awareness of the global community
  • College credits that can be applied to a bachelor's degree
Who should enroll?
  • Anyone interested in broadening their knowledge base and perspective on the global community
How long will it take to complete the certificate?
  • A minimum of 15 credits is required to earn the International Studies Certificate
  • Depending on the student's course load, they can expect to complete the program in as little as one year

  • For the convenience of our students, classes are offered at a variety of times, including daytime, evening, and online options

Accelerated Learning Program in Business

The University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley will be offering its first Accelerated Learning Program for adults. All courses will be offered in the evening and are taught through a hybrid method where students will attend courses one evening per week and continue to learn via our online format at your convenience.
