Note taking
Students in need of this service should ask the professor to make a general announcement during class regarding the need for a note taker. The professor will not reveal the name of the student during the announcement. The professor will introduce the note taker to the student once the note taker has been identified. Following each class the student and note taker will proceed to the copy center to have notes copied free of charge.
Reader/Scribe
Students requesting this service must contact the Student Services office two weeks prior to the need of service. Readers may be allowed to read class assignments, assist in locating library materials for research materials, and aid the instructor and student in class and/or laboratory assignments that could otherwise not be performed independently by the student with a documented disability. Scribes are responsible for writing down information as dictated by the student.
Parking
Handicapped parking is available throughout the campus. Students in need of special parking should contact the disability contact person in the Student Services office for a permit. Appropriate documentation will be kept on file.
Test Taking
Extended time and private room testing may be arranged by the professor and administered by the library staff. Students in need of a private proctor must notify the disability contact person in Student Services two weeks in advance.
