Program Information
Each camp session lasts 3 hours per day for one week (Monday through Friday).
Sessions are taught by enthusiastic, fully-trained instructors.
Age/grade is approximate
Thursday night of each week is Family Night with activities and refreshments.
Barlow Planetarium/Weis Earth Science Museum reserve the right to cancel a session that does not
attain minimum enrollment. A full refund will be given if a session is cancelled.
A supervised lunch period is provided for children spending an entire day.
Registration Information
Barlow Fees: $125.00 plus supply fee.
Weis Fees: $125.00.
Sign up for more than one camp (siblings included) and save 10% on class fee.
Fees include all classroom materials, a daily snack, and certificate.

Level I–Blast Off (Completed Grades 3 – 5)
- Build, customize, and launch a model rocket
- Each participant will receive a complete rocket launch kit valued at $50!
Supply Fee: $35
Level II-Lift Payloads (Completed Grades 4 – 6)
- Build, customize, and launch a model rocket that launches and returns a raw egg
- Each participant will receive a complete payload rocket valued at $50!
Supply Fee: $35
Level III-Fly Higher (Completed Grades 5 - 8)
- Build, customize, and launch a model rocket that uses two engines
- Each participant will receive a complete multi-stage rocket valued at $50.

Level I–Constellations (Completed Grades 3 – 5)
- Learn how to use stars to find your way on Earth and in the sky.
- Each participant will receive a set of binoculars valued at $30.
Supply Fee: $20
Level II–Solar System (Completed Grades 4 – 6)
- Discover what makes each of the planets fascinating and unique.
- Each participant will receive a fully-functional replica of Galileo’s refracting telescope valued at $40.

Level III–Deep Space (Completed Grades 5 – 8)
- Discover distant celestial objects that only a telescope can see.
- Each participant will receive a fully-functional tabletop reflecting telescope valued at $120.

Wisconsin Earth Adventure
The following sessions will be held back-to-back the weeks of June 18 and July 9. Sessions can be taken in any order. Camps are geared to children who are entering Grades 3-7.

Session I – Ice, Explosions, Crystals & More
Dates (two dates to choose from)
- June 18-22, 2012, Time: 9 am - 12 pm
- July 9-13, 2012, Time: 1 pm- 4 pm

Activities
- Build a glacier and eat it.
- Grow sparkling crystals.
- Create a cave-in-a-cup.
- Erupt an enormous volcano.
- Make your own fossil.
