Background before UWFox

“I graduated from Fox Valley Lutheran HS in 2001.  After graduation I was a Craftsman Mechanic on Aircrew Escape Systems and Ejection Seats for six years in the United States Air Force.  The Air Force provided me with numerous incredible experiences.  While in the military I had the opportunity to travel and live all over the world.  I was blessed with awesome deployments and temporary duty assignments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, which involved Afghanistan and several other countries.  A few of my favorite place to live were Diego Garcia, South Korea, and Italy. Although I miss being immersed in other cultures, it is great to be a college girl.”

Why I chose UWFox?

“Upon completion of my military duty I moved back to have my family’s support while transitioning to civilian life.  I knew UWFox was a great campus and would provide me with the atmosphere to succeed in my studies.”

Chosen College Major

“After job shadowing and changing majors several times, I am considering a major in Teen and Youth Development and/or Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling.”

What are you learning that you find interesting and rewarding at UWFox?

“UWFox is truly a unique college campus.  People of all different ages, races, and backgrounds come here to learn.  I am very impressed by the personable atmosphere and the fact that the university staff and professors know the students by name.  I think people underestimate the power of attending a smaller campus.  I would highly recommend taking a serious look at how UWFox  is able to guide you in the right direction towards achieving your goals and dreams.”

Career plans after UWFox

“My career plan after this semester is to go on to a four-year university to get my Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees.  Then I would like to be a wife and a mom with a career in empowering teens to create a healthy world with no one left out.”

Other interesting things

If I'm not growing, I'm decaying. I am passionate about learning and creating new experiences.  I love to travel, paint, eat, and go on adventures.”
