Welcome to FoxBytes!
Fox Bytes is UW-Fox's computer club. It is open to any student, faculty, or staff member who has an interest in computers. The club has gone on tours of computing facilities at local businesses, brought in speakers for club members, and held seminars on computer-related topics for the campus community.
When & Where
Meeting time for spring semester 2012 looks like it will be noon on Wednesdays, however may be changed once we meet. The meetings are held in 2838 (the room behind the upstairs computer lab, 2821.)
What's New
We currently do not have any projects planned and will likely come up with ideas in the first few meetings.
In the past semesters we have worked on:
- Hardware interfacing with a NerdKit
- Creating a Linux Box cluster with 5+ computers
- Coding project of creating a game (in C++)
- Building a computer from scratch (1 day demonstration-date to come)
- Home Theater PC setup and use
- and of course LAN parties
Our Mission Statement
