Fox Bytes: MailBot Project

MailBot

MailBot Project is an aim to design a small robot that would eventually move by itself with the use of proper sensors and other capabilities and will deliver mails to the different departments/offices in the campus all by itself. The goal is to design it in such a way that it is programmable in Java.

Fox-Bytes normally holds a meeting on every Friday to work on that. Members who are interested come in on Fridays and work together as a group. Students interested in hardware deal mainly with designing and assembling of the robot. Students interested in software deal with programming the MailBot according to the needs.

With proper technical guidance and help from our Club Advisor Bill Bultman (Computer Science Professor) and some enthusiastic members of Fox Bytes, we are working on making this great idea come into being.

Ideas/ Suggestions/ Comments on the MailBot are welcome by the webmaster which will be then forwarded to the appropriate people.

If you wish to be a part of this project, you can become a member of Fox Bytes and start working on it. If you are already a member and wish to know when the next meeting of MailBot is, you can check the Updates Section or ask the Club Secretary by email.

Updates: It's under progress.
