Accelerated Learning Program
The University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley now offers an Accelerated Learning Program specifically designed for working adults. All courses are taught through a hybrid method. Attend courses one evening per week and continue to learn via our online format at your convenience. Hybrid learning is an efficient and flexible method designed to meet your educational needs.

First-Year Seminar
Teaching and learning are shared experiences between teacher and students. Innovative curriculum providing active engagement in a collaborative and cooperative learning environment are designed to maximize academic success. Intended for first year students. A portion of this course will take place the week before semester begins. Five Formal meetings during regular semester on Monday noons. Additional attendance at selected Monday-noon Scholar Series presentations may be required. Watch for special announcement of LEC 100 course offerings by timetable addendum.
Hybrid Course
A portion of the learning activities will take place online, and time traditionally spent in the classroom is reduced. The classroom time will be reduced accordingly by your instructor. Minimal computer skills are recommended. HYBRID course are noted as section “38” or “39” in the timetable course listings.

Learning Communities
Understanding the "real world" requires integrating knowledge from different points of view. Learning Communities link two or more courses and foster integrated understanding. Students in Learning Communities get to know their professors and other students even better than they would by taking the courses alone. Learning Communities fulfill specific Degree Designators. Specific course sections are designed for Learning Communities.
