UW-Fox Hosts Around the World in the Union
Take advantage of a wonderful opportunity to speak to students from a wide variety of cultures and countries, all gathered together in one, convenient location! The University of Wisconsin - Fox Valley is sponsoring a "celebration of information," on Wednesday, October 25, 2000.
The program is free and open to the public, and is scheduled to run from noon until approximately 1:00 p.m. in the Student Union. The Union is located in the central part of the campus.
The occasion, dubbed Around the World in the Union, brings together UWFox students from the nations of France, Belgium, Denmark, Azerbaijan, Russia, Ghana, Cameroon, Indonesia, Switzerland, Hungary, Brazil, Menominee, Germany. In addition, local representatives are going to be available to share their information about their family heritage. Included are the Hmong and Jewish cultures.
Attendees have the opportunity to talk to these UWFox students, respectively, about their cultures, while listening to ethnic music and sampling ethnic foods.
The University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley is located at 1478 Midway Road, Menasha, between S. Oneida St. on the east, S. Appleton Road on the west, just south of Hwy. 441. There is free parking available on the west side of the campus.
