Fox Valley Band Concert to Perform at UWFox

The University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley is hosting the Fox Valley Concert Band’s annual Fall Concert on Friday, October 21 starting at 7:30 p.m. in the campus’ Perry Hall. The Fox Valley Concert Band is a highly regarded “communiversity” band, featuring current UWFox students, alumni and members of the community.
Under the direction of Dr. Marc Sackman, the Fox Valley Concert Band Fall Concert program includes works by Mozart and Vaughan Williams. Featured will be "Shadja-maalika: Modal Illusions,” by Lawrence University Conservatory faculty member Asha Srinivasan. The march for the evening will be the Civil War march, "Washington Grays.”
The annual Fall Concert is the first of four performances that the Fox Valley Concert Band offers throughout the year. Future performance dates include the Holiday Concert on Saturday, December 10 at 4:00 p.m., the annual Winter Concert on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 4:00 p.m., and the annual Spring Concert on Friday, May 4, 2012 at 7:30 p.m.
