Fox Valley Concert Band Offers Fall Concert at UWFox

The Fox Valley Concert Band presents its fall concert, as well as its opening performance for the 2009-2010 season, on Friday, October 16, at 7:30 p.m. in the James W. Perry Hall on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley.
The program provides a range of musical selections that the audience is sure to enjoy.
Included in the FVCB’s numbers are “Festive Overture, op. 96” by Dmitri Shostakovich; “Autumn Rune,” by Ron Nelson; “Pageant,” by Vincent Persichetti.
The second half of the concert features “Marche Lorraine,” by Louis Ganne; “Down a Country Lane,” by Aaron Copland; and “First Suite in Eb for Military Band,” by Gustav Holst.
The Fox Valley Concert Band, composed of university students, alumni and Fox Valley residents, is directed by Dr. Marc Sackman, conductor and associate professor of music at UWFox.
