“With the win the Cyclones advance to the W.C.C. state tournament this weekend. It also gives the [lady] Cyclones a 20-5 overall record and their thirteenth victory in a row. For the second time in campus history the women’s basketball team has made it to state,” Natz said.
“The Cyclones won the rebound war 55-33, and forced the Lady Bucs to commit 21 turnovers. Leading the way offensively for the Cyclones was Rachael Pethke with 18 points. Brittany Blob added 16 points and grabbed 9 rebounds, while Tori Thern chipped in 12 points and pulled down 16 rebounds. Thern led the team with eight assists while Pethke dished out four assists,” Natz summarized.
