New Year, New You: Fitness Classes Offered at UWFox

The Office of Continuing Education at the University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley is currently taking registrations for wellness and yoga classes.
“Choosing Wellness: Healthy Mind and Fit Body” seeks to help individuals improve their fitness level with a no-contract program in a comfortable, flexible fitness environment. The course allows registrants to attend any one of five structured classes. Interested individuals are encouraged to schedule a free trial session by calling 832-2636 or taking a virtual tour of the well-equipped UWFox fitness center at www.uwfox.uwc.edu/aboutfox/virtualtour/fitnessctr.html. Classes are held Mondays and Wednesdays, February 1-May 31 (17 sessions) at 4:15 p.m., 5 p.m. or 6 p.m. Alternatively, classes are held Tuesdays and Thursdays, February 2-May 30 (17 sessions) at 8 a.m. or 8:45 a.m. Fees are $125 until January 19 and $145 thereafter. The monthly payment option is $49 per month.
“Introduction to Yoga” offers participants the opportunity to harmoniously develop three aspects of their nature: physical, mental and spiritual. Registrants will learn 40 basic hatha yoga exercises and visualization and relaxation techniques. Classes are appropriate for all fitness levels and ages. They are offered seven at a time with consecutive class schedules. The first course runs Wednesdays from January 18-March 1 from 5:30-6:45 p.m. The second class is on Mondays from March 13 to April 24 from 5:15-6:30 p.m. The third class is held Wednesdays from May 10 – June 21 from 5:15-6:30 p.m. Fees are $69 per session until January 11 and $79 thereafter. The second and third session fees are due 10 days before the start of class to qualify for the early bird discount.
