The great “American Tribal Love-Rock Musical” of the 1960’s lives again during a four-day run at the University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley’s Fine Arts Theatre. This classic production with a local cast has performances scheduled for Wednesday, April 21; Thursday, April 22; Friday, April 23; and Saturday, April 24. All performances are at 7:00 p.m.
The play is based on the book and lyrics written by Gerome Ragni and James Rado, with the music written by Galt McDermot.
Susan Rabideau, the play's director, says, "Though 'HAIR' is known as a musical of the late 60's, it questions the standards of morality, sexuality, individualism, racism, violence, drug use, loyalty, and social acceptance-things that remain problems in America today. The play demonstrates that peace, love, freedom, and happiness are never-out-of-date."
Tickets are $10 per person; $7 for a student with ID; and $5 for UWFox students. Information about the production and ticket availability for this UWFox production can be obtained by contacting Rabideau at 832-2857 (email Susan.Rabideau@uwc.edu) or the UWFox Box Office at 832-2646.
