National search will start soon for Jim Perry's successor
Ray Cross, chancellor of University of Wisconsin Colleges and University of Wisconsin Extension, today named Andrew Keogh interim Campus Executive Officer and Dean at the University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley in Menasha. Keogh will begin his duties March 1, replacing Jim Perry, who retired as the UWFox CEO/dean last week.
Keogh was CEO/dean of UW-Marshfield/Wood County for eight years until his retirement in 2010. He will serve in the interim role until a permanent CEO/dean is chosen for UWFox.
Cross said he will appoint a search and screen committee this spring, when he also expects to begin a national search process. Cross hopes to have permanent leadership in place by the fall semester.
Prior to heading UW-Marshfield/Wood County, Keogh was executive vice president and vice president of academic affairs at Ohio Dominican College, a private liberal-arts college in Columbus, Ohio. He also held various faculty and administrative positions at North Dakota State University.
A native of Green Bay, Keogh has a Ph.D. in education from Washington State University, a Master of Science degree in history and education from UW-Eau Claire, and a Bachelor of Science degree in history from St. Norbert College, De Pere.
Perry led UWFox since 1993. During his tenure, the campus experienced significant growth in enrollment and in facilities, with more than 1,700 students currently enrolled. Perry was also professor of biological sciences within the UW Colleges.
UWFox is part of the University of Wisconsin Colleges, comprised of 13 campuses and UW Colleges Online that offer an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree and prepare students of all ages and backgrounds for baccalaureate and professional programs.
