Mary Ann M. Bazile has been named Adult Student Initiative Coordinator at the University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley.
An enthusiastic life-long learner herself, Mary Ann brings a passion for teaching and learning to her new position. Mary Ann can relate to the special needs of adult learners and will draw from her personal experience to help them.
“Having earned 60 credits towards an Associate Degree and articulating those credits into a Bachelor’s Degree and then earning my Master’s degree all while working full-time and raising a family, I believe, makes me a good example to adult learners of what can be achieved.”
Mary Ann’s most recent professional experience includes teaching, assessment, and curriculum development at Moraine Park Technical College as well as consulting for a Management Recruiter in the Appleton area.
“I know first-hand what recruiters look for in employees and understand the importance of having an educational curriculum that helps students succeed in today’s tight job market.”
“With the economy being tight, all students need to stretch their dollars but adult students supporting families face even greater pressures. UWFox delivers the best higher educational value in the Fox Cities holding the line on tuition and having great teachers.”
Mary Ann’s main responsibilities at UWFox include the recruitment and retention of adult students. By developing relationships with the area business community through marketing strategies, setting up onsite visits, and providing customized presentations to promote educational opportunities, Mary Ann hopes to positively impact the lives of area adult learners.
