Author Mills Leads Creative Writing Course

Award Winning Local Author to Lead Creative Writing Class at UW-Fox Valley
Published poet and novelist Laurel Mills is leading a class in creative writing on Saturday, October 19, from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley in Menasha. The daylong workshop is open to writers of all skill levels, writing in any genre.
Mills is the author of the novel, "Undercurrents," and four books of poems. Her writing has earned the Wisconsin Library Association Outstanding Achievement Award, the Posner Poetry Award, and the Pippistrelle Best of Small Press Award. She has been awarded several writer's residencies at the Ragdale Foundation in Illinois.
Mills, a Senior Lecturer in English on the UWFox faculty, states that she'll be using "innovative writing exercises to help class members write with originality and surprise."
