The University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley is offering a “Free Online Information Session” for prospective students of all ages, on February 26 at 5:30 p.m. Individuals who want to learn more about what UWFox has to offer, or parents of prospective college students, can interact with UWFox representatives by way of a personal computer from the comfort of their home or other convenient location.
According to Meagan Hardwick, UWFox campus marketing specialist, “Special software is not needed. After interested individuals register for the Info Session online, they will receive a confirmation e-mail that will provide them with the website URL they should visit on February 26. The Info Session will begin streaming live at 5:30 p.m. Viewers will have the opportunity to interact with UWFox advisors by sending their questions in the chat window during the session.”
Information session topics include, but are not limited to, the admission process; financial aid; a virtual campus tour; student housing; student activities; what kinds of things traditional and adult students need to be aware of; what fees to expect; and, what UWFox has to offer.
Carla Rabe, assistant dean for Student Services at UWFox, said, “This is UWFox’s first-ever online and interactive information session. It’s important for us at UWFox to provide prospective students with convenient resources … whether the student is the traditional age or an adult starting – or returning to – college.
“This info session will offer the same information that prospective students could get at one of our regularly scheduled College Preview events held on campus. It’s a great option for folks who can’t get to UWFox for those events, but want to learn more and get their questions answered quickly and thoroughly,” Rabe added.
To register for the February 26 “Online Information Session,” interested individuals can go to www.uwfox.uwc.edu/InfoSession for the “Online Info Session Registration Form,” fill it out and click “submit.” After registering, UWFox will send a confirmation email with the URL that viewers should visit at 5:30 p.m. on February 26.
