On Tuesday, October 19, the University of Wisconsin — Fox Valley is hosting its sessions for parents only. Targeted at parents of college-bound students interested in finding out more about UWFox, the "Parents’ Night," program is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. and end at approximately 8:00 p.m. Reservations, or "pre-registration," for the program is requested by the Office of Student Services (920-832-2620) at UWFox, which is sponsoring the event.
Parents who attend the program are slated to learn about the UWFox campus and its many freshman and sophomore programs. Jim Perry, campus CEO/Dean, will welcome the attendees and provide an orientation to the evening, beginning in the Student Union on the UWFox campus.
Faculty members and students are scheduled to provide an interactive discussion with the attendees, in order to provide a perspective of academic expectations for UWFox students once they begin their college career at the Menasha campus.
Other members of the UWFox Student Services staff are to make a presentation that covers aspects of financial aid, fees, advising, support programs, disability services, multicultural support, transfer liaison, and career services.
Each session provides enough time for the attendees to ask questions of the presenters.
Parents attending the evening program can take part in a special optional tour of the campus, including the state-of-the art science wing and the Barlow Planetarium.
Free refreshments are provided.
The University of Wisconsin — Fox Valley is located at 1478 Midway Road, Menasha, between S. Oneida St. on the east and S. Appleton Road on the west, south of Hwy. 441. Free parking is available on the West Side of the campus building.
