The University of Wisconsin System Regents recently set the 2013-2014 tuition for each of its 26 campuses. With each campus having its respective tuition frozen at its 2012-2013 level, the University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley retained its position as “the lowest tuition cost campus within the UW System.”

As one of the 13 UW Colleges campuses, UWFox tuition for 2013-2014 is set at $2,375.16 per semester, or a total of $4,750.32 for the fall 2013 semester and the 2014 spring semester combined.

The 2013-2014 tuition helps maintain UWFox’s long-held reputation as one of the most affordable choices for college students of all ages to begin or complete a bachelor’s degree.

UWFox has long been known throughout northeast Wisconsin for its outstanding academic reputation and superb educational value. The campus continues to reinforce its position as the most affordable and accessible UW campus in this portion of the state.

Dr. Martin Rudd, UWFox campus executive officer and dean, said, “Affordable tuition and modest student fees are a hallmark of UWFox’s position as a premier provider of an exceptional liberal arts education that offers students of all ages a highly regarded local University of Wisconsin experience that our community values.”

Each of the UW campuses also assesses segregated student fees, which provide for a wide variety of student-oriented services and extra-curricular activities. The student fees are separate from the tuition and are not frozen at the previous year’s levels. Segregated fees are charges, in addition to instructional fees, assessed to all students for student services, activities, programs, and facilities that support the mission of the University of Wisconsin System institutions. A breakdown of the UWFox segregated fees is available at http://www.uwc.edu/money-matters/business-office/tuition-fees/fox.

For the 2013-2014 academic year, UWFox’s student fees total $137.55 per semester, making the total cost (i.e., tuition and fees) at UWFox for one semester $2,512.71. The total cost including tuition and fees for both the fall and spring semester is $5,025.42.

These costs are applicable for Wisconsin and Minnesota residents. For non-residents, 2013-2014 tuition and fees can also be found at the web site provided, above.

College bound students who are considering any of the 13 UW four-year campuses can directly compare the tuition and fees at those campuses to those costs at UWFox. The difference, in UWFox’s favor, can be measured in thousands of dollars. In fact, students who attend UWFox for two or more years can save enough money to pay for an entire academic year’s worth of tuition and fees at the four-year UW campuses.

UWFox is still accepting applications for fall semester 2013 enrollment. For more information about UWFox tuition and fees, as well as about applying and enrollment, contact the campus’ Student Affairs office, 920-832-2620, or email foxinfo@uwc.edu, or visit www.uwfox.uwc.edu.
