The University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley is hosting the 2012 "Wisconsin Education Fair," or WEF, on Tuesday, September 25 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the campus Fieldhouse. Representatives from nearly 100 colleges, universities, professional schools, and the military are expected to be in attendance and staffing their respective information booths.
Wisconsin Education Fairs, Inc. was created in 1978 with the goals of coordinating and improving the flow of information about post-secondary educational opportunities to high school students in Wisconsin.
In addition to serving the high school student population, WEF welcomes to its programs any person interested in postsecondary education and military opportunities. The intent of the WEF program strives to better serve the public by providing prospective students and parents the opportunity to browse freely and meet with professional staff members from approximately 100 postsecondary institutions in one central location. In addition, the WEF hopes to supplement the high school guidance programs, as well as to provide admission and recruitment personnel a convenient fall travel schedule, allowing personal contact with more high school students than was previously possible.
The 2012 Wisconsin Education Fair is free and open to the public. However, those attending should make sure to register at www.gotocollegefairs.com BEFORE coming to the WEF at UWFox.
